Designed for both beginners and those with some animation experience, this workshop provides an in-depth exploration of the foundational principles that bring characters and stories to life. Participants will gain hands-on experience and learn techniques that are essential for crafting professional-quality animations.
An Animator/Director/Showrunner with vast experience in both traditional and CG character animation. His career began as an animator at Walt Disney Feature Animation and grew into directing features, TV series, shorts, and theme park ride films. His first short film, Runaway Brain, was nominated for an Academy Award. At Disney, he worked as an animator for The Great Mouse Detective (1986), Sport Goofy in Soccermania (1987), Oliver & Company (1988), The Little Mermaid (1989), The Rescuers Down Under (1990), The Lion King (1994), and Hercules (1997). He also animated the children for the World Chorus post-show area for It’s a Small World at Disneyland Paris.
As Animation Supervisor on live-action/animation hybrids, Chris contributes to all aspects of the process from storyboarding through post-production. He works closely with directors and visual effects studios to create convincing characters that resonate with an audience. Chris works with both above-the-line and below-the-line talent to ensure the best possible performance of the animated characters. He served as animation director for Garfield: The Movie, Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and 2 Stupid Dogs, supervising producer and supervising director for Clerks: The Animated Series and animation supervisor for Inspector Gadget, Mighty Joe Young, Fat Albert and X2.

The program is also supported by the City of Miami and Miami Dade County.
