Miami Dade College recognizes that Esports competitions for talented students is an integral part of the overall educational process and mission of the college. The Esports program at Miami Dade College strives to enrich the lives of participants by providing quality coaching, facilities, and support services, with equal treatment and resources available to all participants, regardless of race, gender, religion, marital status, age, national origin, handicap or financial resources.
The program works in partnership with its dynamic, multi-cultural community to provide accessible and high quality guidance and direction by keeping the needs of the student-athlete at the center of decision-making. Only the highest standards of sportsmanship and conduct are expected of students, coaches, staff and administrators associated with the Esports program at Miami Dade College.
Why MDC?
Just as with other MDC sports, qualified esports athletes can play and get an education at the same time as student-athletes sanctioned by the College and, in some instances, on an athletic scholarship. MDC recognizes that esports can help create a path to lifelong success, and strives to enrich the lives of participants by providing quality coaching, facilities and support services. MDC is institutionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, and meets the educational standards of the U.S. Department of Education. Credits earned at MDC are easily transferred to other institutions, allowing students to continue their education and pursue advanced degrees at prestigious colleges and state schools across the nation.
