The EyeContact Project – Lives Shaped by Autism, emerged initially to give a chance for parents of people diagnosed with ASD focus for a moment on themselves, telling their stories since the diagnose of Autism got in their lives. Artist Grazi Gadia and Neuro Pediatrician Carlos Gadia have made it their mission to inform, empower and educate families of disabled children, especially on the autism spectrum.
Combining her wish to help special needs children and her love for the arts, Grazi joined efforts with ArtBrazil to expand her platform using art as a tool of integration and education, becoming a permanent part of the social segment of ArtBrazil events for the last five years. Our main goal is to enhance how Autism changed and shaped the history of the families living with disabilities in their lives . Besides their struggles and difficulties for a simple connection with their sons and daughters, Eye Contact teaches and informs the parents to overcome their daily challenges and become advocates for the cause.
