Miami Dade College and Florida International University are partnering to develop the next generation of animation and gaming experts. A signing ceremony for a new articulation agreement took place recently at Miami Animation and Gaming International Complex (MAGIC) at the MDC’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.
With the new agreement, MDC students earning an Associate of Science degree in animation and game art or an Associate in Science in game development and design can pursue a Bachelor of Science in Digital Communication and Media at FIU, completing both programs not exceeding 120 credits. FIU will accept all major-specific courses completed at MDC to count towards the completion of the BS in Digital Communication and Media. Through this partnership, we are collectively fueling Miami’s talent pipeline of future animation and gaming experts who will be prepared with the academic, digital, and enterprise skills needed to thrive in the future workforce.
