Discovery Communications Execs scouts for talent at MAGIC

Discovery Communications Inc. has partner with MAGIC creating a scholarship fund for students currently enrolled in the academic program. Students showcased work created at MAGIC to the network’s execs Danny Bolivar, VP Digital Media; Carla Wong, Product Manager; Anamaria Pirondi, O&O Program and Rafael Garcia, Director of Production; for a shot at one of Discovery’s scholarships and three months paid internship at the network’s headquarters in Miami.

Discovery Channel Networks Latin America is a division of Discovery Communications. Discovery Networks Latin America and Iberia oversee Discovery Communications operations both on cable and satellite television in Latin America. Discovery Networks Latin America, or Discovery, offers “a portfolio of channels, led by Discovery Channel and others networks, that are distributed in every pay Tv market in the Latin American.” The division offers over 8 channels in two languages (Spanish and Portuguese for Brazil) with “channel feeds customized according needs of advertising and sales opportunities.”
