After the first completed academic year at MAGIC, every student enrolled in the program have the opportunity of a lifetime: pitch their animated movie or video game idea to Nickelodeon, MTV, Univision and Tell Tale Games. During the 2017 Pitch Week at MAGIC, these were the players who were interested in fresh and new ideas for development.
Besides receiving feedback and hints on how to improve or further develop their stories and work, the studios can opt to mentor a project from idea to product working actively with the students for one year, supervising production and development of a short animated movie or video game concept.
Migdalis Silva, SVP of Programming and Acquisitions at Nickelodeon and Miriam Luciow, VP of Dedevlopment for VIACOM Americas; Joni Fernandez, SVP of Creative Services ar Univision and Leah Hoyer, VP of Creative at Tell Tale Games were some of the creatives attending this year’s event.
