Partnerships are the cornerstone of MAGIC’s success, helping to sustain it as the region’s premier animation and gaming educational facility. Gaming hardware giant Alienware Corporation, a Dell company, recently affirmed its commitment to helping cultivate the next generation of game developers and designers with a generous donation of $48,000 toward scholarships.
Alienware also provides $8,000 each year to fund scholarships for MAGIC Summer Camp. With matching funds from the MDC Foundation, the exceptional camp is essentially free of charge to high school students.
“The work with Miami Dade College has already been extremely rewarding, and celebrating our 20-year anniversary this year, this partnership is such a wonderful way to cultivate talent for the next 20 years,” said Frank Azor, general manager of Alienware. “It’s been great to see the success of the program, and we’re definitely looking forward to the growth and potential of MAGIC.”
