Workshop One: Intro to ZBrush
A basic rundown of the UI, brushes and ztools. How easy it is to pant/texture your sculpts without having to UV unwrap. This course is designed to get artists started with ZBrush and tease on what’s to come in further workshops.
Workshop Two: Sculpting a Video Game Character in ZBrush
Different ways to model in ZBrush- demonstrating the pros and cons of each method. Typical brushes for sculpting and how/when to use each one. How to sculpt (step-by-step) a small, simple creature in ZBrush- allowing for attendees to experiment and receive help if needed.
Workshop Three: Animation, Video Games & 3D Printing: Prepping a ZBrush Sculpt for the Next Phase
How to clean up and polish your model for production. The differences between retopology for Animation & Games. Decimation Master: how to use it for game models & 3d printing to keep poly count low.
Workshop Four: Texturing & Rendering & ZBrush
Different methods of texturing in ZBrush, how to switch through different materials and how to use Alphas. How to bake and export maps like Color, Normal, Displacement, Ambient Occlusion, etc.
*This is an introductory course; no PREVIOUS 3D software experience necessary.
