SUMMARY:On The Road to Success - Career Coaching with Chris Delboni
DESCRIPTION:On the Road to Success will help students recognize and change what may be preventing them from reaching different goals and perform at their full potential. The program was designed to guide participants toward a successful professional future and life. \n“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” — Winston Churchill \nAs part of the program\, coaching sessions will be offered to students with Certified Professional Coach Chris Delboni\, an educator and award winning journalist who has taught and guided students for more than 10 years at both University of Miami and Florida International University. Don’t miss it!  It’s an unique opportunity being offered at MDC MAGIC. Space is limited and interested students should sign up for the program on Jan. 23\, 2019 at 12pm during the introdutory lecture of On the Road to Success\, with Chris Delboni. \n \nChris Delboni\, award-winning journalist\, was a foreing press correspondent in Washington D.C. from 1993 till 2005\, when she relocated to Miami\, FL. In Miami\, Delboni has taught journalism at both University of Miami and Florida International University for more than a decade and served as the first news director at the South Florida News Service at FIU\, serving local mainstream newspapers such as the Miami Herald. \nIn 2016\, Delboni left her position at FIU embarking on a new chapter of her professional life creating Delboni Communications\, focusing on designing workshops  and trainings aimed at personal and professional development and success. Currently she holds  workshops on “media training” and “mobile video training”.  As a Certified Professional Coach (CPC)\, she has developed “The Happiness Code” methodology and coaches journalists and college students on succeeding in their field of choice and career changes. She also publishes “Direto de Miami”\, a column/blog that features Brazilians in South Florida\, as well as news and things-to-do around Miami. \n

SUMMARY:Art of Tech - Chance Glasco\, CCO of Doghead Simulations (Creator of Call of Duty)
DESCRIPTION:Miami Dade College Foundation and\nMiami Animation & Gaming International Complex\ncordially invite you to\nArt of Tech\nWednesday\, November 7\, 2018\nGuest Lecture: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. \n  \n As one of the founding members of the Call of Duty franchise’s team\, senior animator Chance Glasco has had a profound impact on the last decade of video games. “When you work on it you don’t realize how well known your game is\,” says Chance. \nIt wasn’t an overnight success story\, though. After graduating from Full Sail’s Computer Animation program in 2001 and trying to find work in Los Angeles\, Chance visited family in Oklahoma and hooked up with an old friend who was working at a local studio. Chance worked as an animator on Allied Assault\, which was released in 2001 to critical acclaim. From there\, Chance and a group of co-workers took a gamble and launched their own studio. The result: Infinity Ward\, the Call of Duty franchise\, and more than 100 million copies sold. Chance’s specialty from the start has been creating the animations for the arsenal of weapons players use during the games. Their level of realism is among one of the highlights of the Call of Duty experience – and has helped the game earn celebrity endorsements and break sales records. \n“Looking back\, starting by coming out to California\, sleeping in my car\, and then going to where we are now – on a franchise that’s the biggest in the world right now … it’s amazing\,” says Chance. “I’m so blessed to have gone from that to this. All these numbers\, the amount of people playing it\, the popularity of the game – I feel humbled.” \nCredits: \nMedal of Honor: Allied Assault\, Call of Duty\, Call of Duty 2\, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare\, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2\, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3\, Call of Duty: Ghosts d.
