What is AR\, how is it being used today in our community\, and why should you care? Join us for this panel of leaders from South Florida public schools and colleges and universities to learn why and how they are using XR as a teaching tool in their classrooms. \nModerator: Denise Mendez (Microsoft) \nPanelists: UM\, Broward Public Schools\, Case Western Reserve University\, FIU\, and MDC (Mauricio Ferrazza). Dr. Lupe Diaz was invited to represent MDCPS. \nBreakout Session 01: 2PM to 2:45PM\nPanel: Making a VR/AR App for Your Classroom \nFrom the MAGIC Halloween Hackathon to Developing a VR Math VR application\, MAGIC students with the guidance of Math professor Manini are developing this simulation to be tested during the Math Summer Academy and brought into the classroom in the Fall term. All funded by the Legacy STEM Grant\, who’s providing students with a stipend and faculty with task points to develop high impact practices for the classroom.
