SUMMARY:3D Game Design & Esports Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:Esports Camp\nStudents ages 14+ will immerse themselves in the world of competitive gaming at this exciting esports camp designed for all-skill level players. Make new friends\, have a blast and be a part of Miami Dade College Esports safe and supportive gaming community. Coaches will guide players through games\, drills\, and strategies in a fun and competitive environment. Players will walk away with several tactics and tools that they can utilize to improve their gaming skills while building important life skills that extend beyond the game. This camp is designed for all-skill level players looking to take their game to the next level. Pre-Requisite: Basic computer skills. Check in from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. get acquainted with equipment\, meet\, and greet. From 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.– students can stay on premises and work on labs while waiting for pick-up. Drop-off and Pick-Up at Building 1\, first floor. Camp location: Wolfson Campus. \nWeek #2:      Class 6/20/22 – 6/24/22   MTuWThF 9:00 am—3:00 pm      $395 \nOverwatch: This is our second camp of the summer\, and we are looking to expand on last week’s camp. We will dive further into communication\, and discuss toxicity\, reinforcement\, go further into health and fitness\, and explore the introductory phases of journalism\, marketing and some problems they face in the industry today. All the while the players enjoy learning about the game of Overwatch and to assess games that require the ability to aim and think fast on your feet. Building 1\, Room 1156-1. Course Hours: 25. Ref Number: 9375 \n \n\n3D Game Design Camp\nStudents ages 14-19 will learn the premier 3D modeling\, animation\, effects\, and rendering software packages on the market. Using the industry-standard\, intuitive toolset featured in Autodesk® Maya® realistic 3D models will be created and prepare them for game play in a gaming engine. Skills development will focus on the use of Autodesk ”Maya” and Adobe Photoshop. Pre-Requisite: Basic computer skills. Check in from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. get acquainted with equipment\, meet and greet.
