DESCRIPTION:Join us for the “Storyboard” Bootcamp @ MAGIC – An initiative of the Miami Animation Incentive Program.\nOverview:\nDive into the art of visual storytelling with our immersive Storyboard Workshop. This hands-on session is designed for aspiring filmmakers\, animators\, content creators\, and anyone interested in bringing stories to life through visual media. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience\, this workshop will equip you with the skills and techniques needed to create effective and engaging storyboards. \nWhat You’ll Gain:\n\nA solid foundation in the principles and techniques of storyboarding.\nPractical experience in creating storyboards from start to finish.\nEnhanced storytelling skills that can be applied to film\, animation\, advertising\, and more.\nConstructive feedback to refine your work and boost your confidence.\nKnowledge of industry-standard tools and practices.\n\nMaterials Needed:\n\nToon Boom Storyboard Pro\n\nDuration:\n\nTwo-hour sessions daily over one week – July 15th – 19th\, from 12 – 2pm EST.\n\nWhere:\n\nOnline for students with access to Toon Boom Storyboard Pro\, or in-person at MAGIC.\n\nInstructor:\n\nDominick Bedasse\n\n\nA storyboard artist and animator based in West Palm Beach\, FL\, achieved a MFA in Computer Arts at the School of Visual Art’s (SVA) in Manhattan\, New York. He is most known for the laurel decorated short animation Run Little Boy which was awarded “Best Animation” at the Queen City Film Festival\, Baltimore International Black Film Festival\, and Gary International Black Film Festival. Since graduating from SVA\, he has worked as a board artist for the LA based animation company\, Titmouse Inc\, in their Chelsea\, NY studio. Entering his 5th year in the industry\, Dominick has served as a storybook artist\, board revisionist\, producer of commissioned animated works in various mediums\, and as an adjunct professor in the BFA Animation department at SVA. \n\nRegistration:\n \nJoin us for this dynamic and engaging workshop\, and take the first step towards mastering the art of storyboarding. Bring your ideas to life and learn to communicate your vision with clarity and creativity. \n\nThe Miami Media Film Market (MMFM)\, CAMACOL\, in collaboration with CareerSource South Florida and the Miami Animation & Gaming International Complex (MAGIC) at Miami-Dade College (MDC)\, launched an innovative program to link our next generation of animation/gaming professionals\, with animation companies worldwide. The program is also supported by the City of Miami and Miami Dade County.
