West Kendall Baptist Hospital opened to the public in April 2011 as Miami-Dade County’s first brand-new hospital in more than 35 years. It is part of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest faith-based, not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region.
Situated on a 30-acre property adjacent to the proposed Kendall Town Center development, the hospital supports a vision of West Kendall as a convenient central hub where area residents can live, work and play. In 2015, MAGIC and West Kendall Baptist Hospital established a partnership seeking solutions for healthcare within emerging technologies like augmented reality, training, virtual reality and 3D printing for healthcare.
Vicky Ruiz, Assistant Vice President of Operations at West Kendal Baptist Hospital awards MAGIC students Jhordan Velasquez, Jean Carchi, Marcos Ruiz, Bryan Becerra the 2016 scholarships.
